The Diary of a Tree,
Written words
75 x 40 x 60 cm
2019
This piece focuses on the relationships between individuals in society and personal self-exploration. A small tree is painted in monochrome to emulate a sculpture. It plays a modified anthropomorphic role and is unable to decide its own destiny. It records the things that happen to it in an empathetic way, and shows its philosophical thinking. For example: "Someone watered me today", "Rain and winter is my disaster", "The relationship between me and the air is not the same as before", "The sun seems to have no effect on me", "I am in white and it is good", and many more. These statements represent a different way of thinking and allow viewers to experience thinking from a non-human perspective.
